Portugal to UK

Another relaxing day in Cascais with a slow walk around the town and seaside, browsing stores with an ice cream in hand. There was also time for a few hours by the pool (with another sighting of the duck family). It was sad to say goodbye to the family in the evening as we left for the Lisbon airport. We got there early to make use of the TAP lounge but not early enough since Terry thought it was 15 minutes when I said we’d been there for 50 minutes! We chugged down a cocktail when the announcements showed “boarding” and got going just to remember we had to get though passport control. Now this is when a EU passport comes in handy! I got through and arrived at the gate just to see that the boarding line was huge, and Terry with his UK passport, and his heart beat racing in the passport line actually had plenty of time.

Arriving in London, we took the Heathrow Pods to the hotel. Cute futuristic autonomous vehicles racing about. Childlike enthusiasm ensued.
