Today was the closest to a Scottish baptism as I could come. A “wee” train ride from Dufftown to Keith with a visit to Strathisla distillery where they make the Chivas whisky. A tasting flight was of course in order, which I had to be responsible for since Terry was the designated driver. In the evening I was enveloped in even more Scottish culture and tradition at the Speyfest featuring Celtic bands. Bagpipes and fiddles galore. But not only the traditional folk music. The so-called “stomp” featured 100dB modern Celtic music with strobe lights and a bass that rattled the windows of nearby neighbors.
