Today needed to be a chill day considering we (I) was still sore after the hikes. We went to the Glencoe visitor center and checked out their replica turf and creel (a kind of wooden weaving) house from the time the massacre happened. We found some fun souvenirs like this tea towel. My Scottish is coming on alright and I understand that it’s a Scottish version of “keep calm and carry on”. However, “proper” Scottish is Gaelic, which barely anyone speaks, so we’ve started the Duolingo course and have now a few word under our belt, but it won’t be of much help unless we have a dog, a cat, a girl and a boy… Afterwards, we drove the same road as James Bond in the Skyfall movie! It was a narrow, single file road, and there is no way I would bring an Aston Martin down there. A new band was playing at the inn tonight, and the bar was packed.
