We spent the day shopping and preparing for our epic hike.

I mostly spent the day regretting our latest hostel choice. Which was a bit shabby… Not sure if it was the mice, dead beasties or nutjob hostel owners but it was less than fab. Luckily Katrine loves a good mouse so all good.

We picked up a couple of bargains including a rather natty anti midgie hat for yours truly and chilled the rest of the day in Costa enjoying the amazing WiFi. I had no idea the 4g coverage in Scotland was so pants. We also ordered ‘large’ drinks in Costa… I basically got a pint of coffee… Which was so big it came in a massive two handled cup. What’s going on?

We chatted more with the cycling marshals we met the previous night and turned in early, excited to start our West Highland Way adventure.
