We ate a (compulsory) breakfast with our fellow travellers all orchestrated by our ‘host’ who insisted on everyone eating together at 08:00am. Nuts.

It turned out to be quite pleasant chatting to a family from the Netherlands and an Italian father and Son. After sticking a pin in a map at the hostel we were off into day 2 of our expedition.

The Hiking was lovely. The beautiful rolling countryside and the weather continued to impress and urge us on. Conic hill was challenging but the views at the top and the ‘choccy break’ made it all worthwhile.

Our hostel at Rowardenen lodge was a lovely place on the water, we made our own dinner, a delicious plate of kale washed down with a beer.
