We left Drovers Inn after a hearty(attack) full Scottish breakfast, which we ate whilst being stared at by angry stuffed moose heads.

The day’s hiking was easier than expected with the terrain being a doddle compared to previous days, quite flat and less steep sections to navigate, but still beautiful. We arrived at our lodgings in Tyndrum in good time despite the rain which had been urging us on intermittently.

I’d selected unique lodgings for our overnight stay, a lovely (and reasonably priced to boot) hobbit hut. So cool.

We got settled in and wandered 500m into the shire where we indulged in some pub grub and a pint before popping by the Green Welly, a necessary stop along the West Highland Way which was basically just a shop selling everything from axes to teddy bears.
We stocked up on some food and snacks (although I really wanted an axe and could tell Katrine wanted a teddy bear) as we knew there would be few pitstops in the coming days, or at least that’s what we’d heard

We got back to our cozy hole in the ground and snuggled up close and watched a little TV before blowing out the lights, looking forward to the rest of our Scottish “there and back again” adventure.
