The day finally arrived! Our last day on the West Highland Way! 24 last km through the Highlands meeting sheep, butterflies, fly agaric, mountain peaks, lochs and other hikers and arriving in Fort Williams for the last sore steps. It was like any other attraction: we had to walk through the gift shop (high street) to get to the end. We immediately went for a beer, a pizza and a whisky. It was all finished in about 9 minutes. We hobbled over to the bus stop and went to our guest house in Caol, the Byers. It was amazing! They have a hot tub! It was exactly what the doctor ordered, the best thing that happened all week. After another beer at the local pub we retired to our bed with an episode of Family Guy that Terry has just discovered, although he didn’t make it all the way through without falling asleep.
