We headed North towards Aberdeen but couldn’t resist a detour to Montrose, where Katrine had spent some time in the company of Scots (and others), training in offshore drilling and engineering related shenanigans.

Our journey along memory lane took us to beaches, churches, sports centres and pubs. As well as visiting the site of her training. Apparently not always pleasant memories, but her time here does seem to have endeared her to us Scots (luckily for me).

After our detour we made for Aberdeen and family, washed and cleaned our loan car and did the same with our dirty undies, rounding off the night with a fix of ‘family guy’… how have I not seen this before!
