Friends and family

We met up for brunch with an old friend of mine who I hadn’t seen in way too long and had really wanted Katrine to meet. It was great to catch up, and I found myself wishing I was better at maintaining the friendships that had meant the most to me before moving to Norway.

After our brunch and catch-up, we swung by a local barber for a very reasonably priced haircut, then bussed into town and went to Katrine’s favourite bookshop cafe for Chai. We read in a rooftop park for a while when the bookshop closed before wandering to our rendezvous with family at a local Indian restaurant.

Dinner was lovely and the conversation easy… We left fully updated on all family affairs and happenings and grateful for the time together. We  leave Scotland tomorrow, which makes me both happy and sad in equal measure.
