You know those people who don’t like to make a big fuss about themselves, be the center of attention, or celebrating birthdays? I’m not one of those.
So today we celebrated my birthday extravagantly with a full Barbie theme. Elena had created a super pink brunch by the pool, and everyone had helped with decorating and making food. Pool party followed.
In the evening, we took a party cab to Pafos, and tried some beer and loukomades, the Cypriot honey ball treat. The dinner was at Agora tavern where they only serve meze, the Cypriot version of tapas. It’s always a lot of food. We arrived just in time to see the beautiful sunset. The biggest surprise was that Terry had arranged to have a cake delivered from George Alain patisserie. A quaint little shop where he makes all the cakes vegan and without sugar. Don’t judge before you try them, I didn’t believe it when I tasted them. It’s literally incredible.
