We got back to Norway tired but happy, and after a night in Oslo spend a lovely day on the train heading back home. For the next few days we caught up with family and even managed to squeeze in a literature event, including a talk by Erlend Loe, my favourite Norwegian author, where we picked up a copy of his latest book. Woop!

After the, always incredible, hospitality of the Sivertsen clan, it was time to prepare for the next leg of our adventure! The United States beckoned and we were ready. Suitcase (three of them in Katrine’s case – pun intended) packed and farewells fared well, we were off to Oslo.

But we had one last treat in store, the fabulous Ricky Gervais. He did not dissappoint, giving what I reckon is the best stand-up performance I ever had the privilege to see. Hilarious anti-woke hi-jinks.
The next day we met up with Katrine’s siblings for coffee and treats, always fun to be around and a great end to our visit before travelling onwards!
