Another day in Vegas, and we packed it with a few hours at the pool, then eating out at Koi before visiting a speakeasy bar called the Lock inside the Cabinet of Curiosities, and ended the evening with Penn and Teller, a great magic show. Well, not quite. We ended with a few minutes on the one-armed bandits and played away “all” our money.
Koi is a Japanese restaurant with delicious sushi and surprisingly good Japanese IPA. On our way there I could help but notice the outdoor escalators. Is there any other place where that exists? Arriving at the Cabinet of Curiosities afterwards, we nosied through the strange artifacts and walked up to the door in the back with a phone on the side. We picked up the phone and gave the password through the peephole in the door. Then entered a room filled with keys in the ceiling and safes around the walls and solved the riddle to get the passcode. Inside the bar, we sat down for our cocktails. One cocktail from the menu and one secret cocktail based on your mood, favorite holiday, zodiac sign and preferred taste. What an experience. At the Penn and Teller show they made the audience ooh and aaah with the disappearing/appearing and card tricks. Our money also disappeared then reappeared then disappeared again on the gambling machines shortly after.
