Weird and Wonderful L.A.

After a lovely breakfast with our gracious hosts, we ventured out into the wild and wacky world if L.A.

Our first stop was Venice beach, where wild and wacky didn’t quite cut it. All manner of windswept and interesting individuals adorned the boulevards, some skateboarding, some rollerblading or travelling on some electric vehicle or other. Others meandering by foot to allow us to fully appreciate the weirdness.

Next was Santa Monica Pier with a pitstop to watch the very cute squirrels which lined the clifftops en route.

The pier itself was fun, a continuation of the weird and wonderful side of L.A., including Hare Krishna blokes and mad Christians plying their distinct brand of madcap salvation while we strolled amongst amusement rides, shops and cafes.

Muscle beach was great, acroyoga, plates and pumping iron made large. It reminded me that we really should swing by God’s Gym. Not to train, obviously. L. A. is exhausting enough.

We left the beach behind and headed back to our evenings entertainment, which consisted of a wonderful meal at Elefants, courtesy of our hosts in L.A. a hangout to see snd be seen in. The food and cocktails were great, but the company was the main event. A great night.
