Using the free bikes at the Santa Barbara hotel we went to the zoo, a place I’d visited 35+ years ago and fed the goats. There was no feeding the goats this time, but I did get to say hi to them although they could not remember me. My favorite animals were the 6 otters all cuddling together to have a nap. A cute little zoo that only takes about 2 hours to get through. On our way back we went to the end of Stearn’s wharf and tried the acclaimed lobster roll at the Shellfish company. It was 100% worth it. Add in a few raw oysters on the half shell and the day was complete. A band was playing as we left back to our hotel, which is the best hotel we’ve stayed at so far. Free cookies at 3pm? What is there to complain about?
