Moving on to our next location, we gathered our belongings and grabbed with us some famous Kona coffee beans and a ukulele to bring home. We handed in our Dodge Challenger that carried us around the island for the last couple of days and checked in at the Fairmont Orchid. Two tranquil days awaited us. I don’t intend to leave the resort before they kick us out. We were greeted with traditional leis, the flower or nut or shell necklaces from Hawaii (you know, the ones that hula girls wear on tv), and can officially say we got leid. The resort is a little piece of paradise. Right by the beach with a pool and cabanas and tiki bar and canoes and you name it. We went for happy hour at the bar and met an interesting bartender who is a super taster and knew everything about whisky. Right up our alley. We had a sake flight which was so smooth. We watched the sunset and even saw some surfers braving the high surf. The next two days look promising. Oh, and there are wild cats here just like in Cyprus. Score.
