Kochi is different from Mumbai, but it’s still India. Which means there’s a bit of chaos, plenty of smiling people and something to see on every corner. Luckily we got off the boat early and reached the Broadway market before anyone else and it was calm with few people. We tried some spices and looked at shops with “hilfinger” and “rap Lauren”. The best part was the side alley with the fish market. They were gutting fish in the sun, and I don’t think Mattilsynet would approve any of it. We made good friends, had some kind of coffee and took lots of pictures with them at their request. We later stopped by a tiny cafe and had the best lemonade and proper Indian chai for both of us for less than 10 kr. And since we are in the Kerala region, famous for yoga and Ayurvedic medicine, we ended the day with an Ayurvedic massage with lots of oils that made me feel like a pot of curry.
