We got up really early, before sunset, to watch the arrival into Sydney. The captain had promised he’d do donuts, as in a 360 turn, but it didn’t happen… bummer. But the view was spectacular: The opera house, the harbor bridge, and the sunrise. And the entire ship was up! I thought there’d just be a few especially interested but the deck was packed with people. We left the ship with a tear in our eyes and took the ferry to Manly beach where we’ll be staying for the next few days. We wandered the shops and strolled down the beach promenade after checking in to our hotel. In the evening we complained that our tv didn’t work, and they couldn’t fix it until tomorrow so we received a bottle of wine and chocolate as consolation. They had no idea… after 40 days of boozin’ and cruisin’, wine and sugar was the last thing we wanted. Although, the chocolate was admittedly opened the same evening…
