Up early. Korean Air had rescheduled the flight to more than 3 hours earlier than original departure. Yawn. Lugging two pieces of checkin plus hand luggage and shopping bags through the metro and train station resulted in a sweaty arrival at the airport. 14 hours, 3 movies, 3 meals, numerous snacks and 1 face mask (the hydration kind, not the covid kind) later we landed in Amsterdam. 2 hour longer flight than originally scheduled. Most likely because of a different aircraft and detouring around Asia. We flew along the Chinese side of the China/Mongolia border and then dipped down south and up again to avoid Russian airspace. Strangest and most indirect flight tracking image I’ve seen.

Our smartest move was purchasing lounge access for our 4 hours at Schiphol. Onward to Stavanger for a couple more hours, and just before midnight head hits pillow.
