(I doubt this blog has a large enough audience for anyone to care about unmarked advertising – and if anyone does, it’s now on the record that I’ve received a free apple juice at Adriatico but not as compensation for mentioning the restaurant here).

Terry’s friend Eldar opened a restaurant last fall named “Adriatico” and he makes delicious pizza, pasta and homemade comfort food from around Italy and around the Adriatic Sea. It’s in Egget’s old location, and it’s been revamped and is so much cozier and with better acoustics and temperature (and far more affordable even with quality Italian wine on the menu). Eldar runs the show on his own, and he will not leave you waiting. He has time to chat with you while still keeping the food and drinks coming. We had a lovely time out with my parents.
