The flight to Tokyo went better than expected, a couple of movies, a few drinks and a beauty treatment or two later and we were finally in the land of the rising Sun. Jet lagged, but happy and excited to see what Japan held in store.

We travelled in style to our hotel, dumped our bags and hit the street, determined to make the most of our time. We walked the imperial Palace gardens and explored the bonkers character street in Tokyo Station before checking in to our fabulous hotel, respite with pyjamas and slippers and incredibly friendly and helpful staff.

After a quick shower we headed to Ginza for dome cheap and amazing ramen and a surprisingly good noodle beer before wandering back happy but very tired.
