Another long bus ride (never forget an international license when hiring a car in Japan) took us to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. It houses an over 8 m long whale shark and many huge manta rays plus many sea mammals and fish. It’s one of the largest aquariums in the world. We watched the feeding of the whale shark as it sucks in sea water with krill like a vacuum cleaner. Later in the day we caught the dolphin show before taking the bus home. It was freezing because of the strong winds. Okinawa was not the warm end to our vacation we hoped for! We resolved to take a taxi the last stretch to our hotel to avoid hypothermia.
