We ate a simple breakfast in our charming little hotel and said goodbye to Porto. A couple of train rides later and we’d made it to Sintra, just in time to check in to our fancy (at least compared to our budget lodgings thus far) hotel, jump in the shower and head to Lisboa for the garden rooftop pre-wedding party.

It was a great night with light bites, a few drinks and meeting lots of interesting people, all gearing up for Helari and Annette’s big day. Then it was back to Sintra and early(ish) to bed after getting my glad rags ready for action and putting the finishing touches to my toastmaster notes.
