It was a late morning in Aberdeen where we finally didn’t have to worry about when to check out. (Terry’s sister is nice like that). Brunch and chai latte and coffee was enjoyed at a local cafe, Figment, where the food featured colors other than brown for a change, and the menu included foreign words to the Scottish such as caprese, avocado and salad. We met an old friend of Terry’s there, and they both agreed that they were grayer than last time they’d met. Terry claimed it started after he met me, which I can unfortunately attest to. Later on, we just made it in time to the Waterstone cafe and bookshop in the Bon Accord center before they closed. They have the best chai latte in the world. It’s 80% sugar and prepared with whole milk. I ordered 2 kg of it to bring back home. In the evening we made use of the Aberdeen restaurant week offer at the Indian restaurant 8848 and had their taster menu for £25 together with Terry’s family. The waiter was kind enough to throw in a small chai latte for me for free at the end, which sent my total up to three for today.
