We got up very, very early, said goodbye to our host and flew to Copenhagen. Where I immediately bumped into Madhavi, a very dear friend. We all shared coffee together in the lounge before going our separate ways, what are the odds?… I made a vow there and then to try my luck in the Casinos of Vegas when we got there, as this was obviously a sign!
We boarded our flight to L.A., but this would be no ordinary flight… This would be business class all the way, a first for me.
As we found our seats the first of many treats found us, champagne and snacks as we settled in and I eventually stopped pressing all the buttons and fiddling with all my bits ’n’ bobs.
We were treated to all manner of delectable delights and delicious drinks and the best of in-flight entertainment. After cocktails and our three course meal with wine aplenty we settled into some in-flight entertainment before reclining our seats completely flat into bed mode and catching a few reluctant hours of much needed sleep. Breakfast was just as satisfying as the rest of our experience and we arrived slightly early, which I really didn’t approve of. Our adventure over, Katrine dragged me, kicking and screaming from the luxury of flight as it should be.
Wiping the tears from my eyes and exiting the airport we soldiered bravely on but I knew my life, specifically, flying, would never be the same again.
