It was sad to leave Terry’s friends and their adorable kids as we drove off to LAX. It’s been four awesome weeks in this “greit” country that I’ve loved since childhood. Such a diverse nation yet still that American essence that unites the states. At the airport, our miles had earned us good seats on the flights and we checked out the star alliance lounge. It has an outdoor patio! And a noodle/ramen-making station. Funny what can get you excited as long as it’s in a lounge. As we lined up to board the plane, I had to give a little smirk when a few latecomers strode importantly past the line and declared they were in business whereupon the attendant replied: “Yes, these are all business class passengers. Get in line!” The flight experience is in and of itself enough reason to travel – I love the little amenities, plush cushion and duvet, lie flat seat, movies, and all the food and drink and snacks. It just keeps coming. For hydration’s sake and to establish our position as the weirdos on the flight, Terry and I whipped out a couple face masks mid-flight as evidenced by the picture.
Vi syns Amerika er greit igjen
