Our next stop was Singapore. Compared to the other countries we’ve been to, this one immediately appears cleaner, more organized and well run. We walked to the Gardens of the Bay, a large park with myriads of flowers, observations decks and a world based on the Avatar movies. We walked along the observation deck, took in the amazing views and Terry braved his fear of heights. The Avatar world was better than expected with figures and plants like the ones from the movie. The final area was a flower garden that had been decorated for Christmas in a “Nordic” style, meaning they had Vikings and viking ships and a Norwegian and Swedish decorated Christmas tree. Cute. Even a bit of “klippfisk” had been hung to dry.

After a quick stroll through the luxury shopping mall we returned to the ship, embarking on the third an final part of our cruise from Singapore to Sydney.
