The boat was tendered today, just like yesterday so it took quite a while to get off the ship. We even considered just staying by the pool. But I’m the end we took the tender boat to shore and went to the Airlie Beach lagoon for an hour. Quaint place with lots of shops and bars, ideal for backpackers.

The water was choppier when we took the tender boat back so there was a long wait to get back on the ship. Cyclone Jasper is apparently on its way in a few days and we were lucky to stop here.

We hurried up to the sunset bar to watch Airlie Beach float away in the sunset with a cocktail in hand.

The afternoon show had an Australian guitarist who also played the didgeridoo! Very neat.
