During the day time I cleaned my friend’s apartment as a thank you for letting me stay and washed her and my woolies, especially to surprise her with a newly washed and clean sweater that my mom had knitted for her that had been in the laundry basket waiting for wool-friendly detergent. I had some leftover poke bowl from the dinner I had made for us yesterday, before taking the train into Oslo to meet up with the friend who is joining me for the trip to India tomorrow! We had a brief chat but still managed to put away an entire Brie cheese.
Before returning back for a few hours of sleep, I watched “Jordbærstedet” at Nationaltheatret. Sverre Anker Ousdal was brilliant in the main role, and the story made me want to watch the original movie by Bergman. But I keep being perplexed by why actors from the Stavanger region use bokmål instead of their natural dialect. Something irks me about e-endings, “selv”, and for the love of all good things: “jeg” when spoken with my dialect.
