Arcades, samurai, ninja, cats, sushi

Akihabara was our first stop. This area is famous for lots of character shops, electronics and arcades. We tried a couple of retro games, like dance dance revolution.

Asakusa was next up, with the lots of little stores, and we visited the samurai and ninja museum and got to dress up and throw shuriken (those little stars that ninjas throw around…)

To make up for the ninja museum Terry said it was ok to go to a rescue cat cafe and I got my cat fix before we went to a sushi restaurant with the full Japanese meal: miso, sushi and rice and a little dessert. Oh, and a sake taster.

After dinner we walked into a bar named “not suspicious” with “random opening hours”. The walls were covered in white notes with pictures and jokes from guests. First order was to have a “not suspicious” shot with the bartender. The bar had room for maybe a dozen people cramped together along the bar. But everyone becomes friends really quickly!
