We started the day with a cooking class featuring Wagyu and traditional Japanese dishes. It was great fun, educational and tasty and we also met some nice people who shared some tips and recommendations (mostly bar related).

We also learned the proper way to serve sake. Awesome.

Next stop was a train ride to Kamakura. What a fantastic place. The fat bhudda was great but the highlight was the absolutely gorgeous gardens.

On the way back to catch our train we stopped by a food stall and sampled unagi (grilled eel) which was surprisingly tasty, washed down with the local Samurai beer.

We returned to Tokyo and ate at a nice little dumpling restaurant where I had my first Japanese highball.
We rounded off the day exploring Golden Gai and Memory lane, back alleys filled with very small bars seating only a few people at a time.

We had a nightcap at the ‘Deathmatch I Hell’ pub, surrounded by weird paraphenalia and watching ‘Dead Sushi’, the best movie ever, playing behind the bar.
